Ownership:
This is a program where HANDS
builds houses in the city and county for homeownership.
Self-Help:
Self-Help is where families
work 20 to 30 hours a week building their own homes, along with other families and a construction supervisor.
Partnerships:
HANDS has partnerships with the City of Bowling Green,
Bowling Green Technical College, Kentucky Housing Corporation, Rural Development, and Wabuck Development to help build homes
for families.
Counseling:
HANDS offers free financial counseling for
anyone with credit problems. HANDS has free financial classes (Yes You Can Own A Home, Post Purchase and
Budget/Credit) to anyone interested. Starting July 1, 2008 all one-on-one "Yes You Can" sessions will
have a charge of $25.
